Truly Charming fundraiser this thursday!

We are SO excited for our fundraiser this quarter!  Truly Charming was started by 6 year old Azalea.  Azalea is an amazing girl who wears hearing aids and wants to make others who wear hearing aids feel truly charming by making charms that fit on their hearing aids. Azalea donates the hearing charms to underprivileged girls who get seen by state audiologists. Girls as young as 4 get to pick a pair of charms for free when they get fitted for their first hearing aids. They are so cute, and we LOVE how her charms are making others feel great, which is what Blah Blah Worries is all about.  Please join us Thursday, August 25th at the Bethany Village Concert.  You can find Truly Charming at Portland Dance Center that evening. Gracie's LuLaLove's (a LuLaRoe consultant group) will be onsite as well and will be matching the profit and donating it to Truly Charming.  As an added incentive, we will be hosting an Ivivva trunk show at Portland Dance Center, at a 20% discount. So come on by, watch us dance at the concert, buy some yummy cookies especially made for us by the amazing Debruhl Cookies, buy some "blah blah stinky shoes" (bye bye stinky shoes, a MUST HAVE for dancers!) shop some super comfy brands, and donate to Truly Charming and help Azalea reach her goal so she can make more charms!

Hollywood Connection Nationals!

1st Place for Jazz groups in our age group!

At the beginning of our dance year, we made a goal to win a national title together...and we did! We traveled to LA and competed and attended Hollywood Connection Nationals. We came home with 1st place in Jazz groups for our age groups and we had a GREAT time!  If you ever get a chance to go, the convention classes are amazing. The instructors are phenomenal!  We learned so much!  We worked hard this year and are so happy to have reached our goal!  Our families were so supportive and we can't thank our teacher, Miss Claire, enough.  She goes above and beyond all the time to help us not only with our dancing, but to become the best version of ourselves.  Thank you, Miss Claire!

Help support Cruz during his fight against Leukemia!

The Blah Blah Worries girls are asking for your help with a very important fundraiser!

Portland Dance Center is a proud member of the "More Than Just great Dancing" (MTJGD) family.  Synergy Performing Arts Academy, Cruz's family's studio, is also a member of MTJGD.  3 year old Cruz has been diagnosed with Leukemia and has started a 3 year treatment plan.  As part of their commitment to helping their community and especially children in need, the Blah Blah Worries girls are driving a fundraiser to help Cruz and his family.

How can you help?

  1. Bring Cruz's flyer to Bethany Public House on May 1st.  15% of your dine in or take out order will be be donated to Cruz.  You can pick up a flyer at Portland Dance Center or email us at blahblahworries@gmail.com and we'll email a flyer to you.

  2. Donate to Cruz's gofundme account prayforcruz”.

As an added incentive, come to Portland Dance Center from 2:00-5:00 on May 1st to shop a special Ivivva Trunk Show with a 20% discount.  Ivivva is a great line of clothing for active girls sizes 6-14.  The BlahBlahWorries girls wear it for hours of dance classes, to school, and any time they can!  Come shop some fabulous clothes at a great discount and take a short walk to Bethany Public House for a wonderful meal.

Don't forget to stretch!

Happy Spring Break!!

As Dancers, we know how important it is to stretch.  But sometimes during breaks we just want to relax, or we have so much fun we completely forget!  So, come stretch with us!  You'll thank us when your dance classes start back up and your teachers will be soooo happy!

Thank you, Miss Claire!

We are so thankful Miss Claire is our Petites dance teacher.  She challenges us, motivates us to be better dancers, is always super nice, and makes class so much fun!  We love her choreography and absolutely LOVE our competition dance!

If you have a special teacher, be sure to thank them for all the time and effort they give to you!

IVIVVA!

If you look through our pictures or follow our blog, instragram, or twitter, you know how much we LOVE Ivivva.  We are so very grateful for the honor of being in our local Ivivva store's maven window for the month of February!  We can't thank Hayley enough for all of the time she's spent with us and for choosing Blah Blah Worries to be in the window.  Thank you!!!

Spotlight!

This last weekend we competed at Spotlight!  We did all of our dances and had a great time!  Performing onstage is one of our very favorite things to do, especially when we get to do it together!  Before we get onstage, we are always reminded of our hard work, all of the effort, sweat, pain, fun, and sometimes tears, that goes into working as hard as you can to reach your goals. There is a lot you can worry about, and be afraid of, when you set your goals high.  But when you push through those fears and worries, the result is usually pretty amazing!  We try to be brave.  Remember that being brave isn't a lack of fear, its doing something you think is important even though you are afraid.  Be brave and reach high!

Hollywood Connection!

We had a great time at Hollywood Connection pushing ourselves to be better dancers!  We met some amazing people, bonded with our dance company, had so much fun, and can't wait to do it again next year!  (notice our super cool Blah Blah Worries tanks? They are Ivivva...of course! We love these tanks when we are dancing all day...they stay in place and are super comfy!)

Wizard of Oz Tryout!

Super excited to try out for a ballet production of The Wizard of Oz tonight!  Are you ever nervous for a tryout?  Just trust in your hard work and believe in yourself!

*In this pic we are wearing:  To make sure we were focusing on our dancing and not on our clothes, we wore our Ivivva Leos and Ivivva ballet tights...they are super comfortable and perfect for dancing!

PHOTOSHOOT WITH IVIVVA

We had our 2nd photoshoot with Hayley from Ivivva today!

We had so much fun and got to wear our brand new Blah Blah Worries Ivivva tank tops and Blah Blah Worries BFF necklaces!  We LOVE Hayley, and you know we LOVE Ivivva!  We can't wait to see how the pictures turned out!

*In this pic we are wearing: When choosing clothing for BlahBlahWorries, we KNEW we had to go with Ivivva. It takes from the dance studio to hanging out with friends...we LOVE it!
